The “History of Greek Jewelry” Program is a one-week intensive program and is a short version of “Hephaistos Summer School” with an emphasis on the History of Greek Jewelry. In the program classes cover the history of jewelry from Classical antiquity to Byzantium, Neo Hellenic and Contemporary Greek Jewelry. This intensive program includes lessons, lectures and special study visits. Lessons and lectures take place at ILJM, while study visits to other museums, archaeological sites and modern jewelry / goldsmiths’ workshops, aim to engage participants in this thousand old cultural tradition of Greece, from antiquity to the present day.
